    Day 1: Lake Duluti Serena Hotel

    You will be picked from Kilimanjaro Airport and transferred to Lake Duluti Serena Hotel for your overnight. In the hotel you be welcoming by a friendly staffs with an amazing smile, towels and welcoming juice will be there waiting for you. Lake Duluti unestled at the foot of the wooded slopes of Mount Meru, this unique hotel in Arusha Tanzania stands amid coffee plantations on the shores of tranquil Lake Duluti.

    Day 2-3: Ndutu Area

    After your early breakfast in the morning drives toward the Ndutu area, Ngorongoro and Serengeti border for game drive. The Ndutu area in the northern part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area joins the Serengeti. As such, it forms part of the annual migratory route of hundreds of thousands of wildebeest, zebra and antelope (and their predators) who come to graze and calve between November and March, depending on the rains. The forests around Lake Ndutu and small koppies are also home to prolific, resident wildlife. Dinner and overnight Tanzania Bush Camps.

    Day 4-5: Serengeti National Park

    After early morning breakfast to allow an early departure for Serengeti National Park for game drive and overnight at Tanzania Bush Camps, where Sightings of the “Big 5” on game drives are almost guaranteed, while from the camp the horizons are always busy with plains game. There are several prides of Lion in the area, and it is even possible to see the more elusive leopard, who has established their territories around the camp.

    Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater

    We will drive to Ngorongoro Crater passing through the Savanna acacia woodland slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater Highlands before arriving at the rim of the crater. Descend into the crater which is one of the most densely crowded game areas in the world, home to nearly 40,000 animals…Here we’ll have a good chance of seeing the big five: lion, leopard, rare Black Rhino, buffalo and elephants. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.

    Day 7-9: Ruaha National Park

    In this day your schedule will depend much on your flight departure time to Ruaha National Park. After your breakfast you will drive to Arusha for the direct flight to Ruaha National Park ,the largest national park in Tanzania and famous for its large population of elephants, with about 10,000 roaming the park. It is also frequented by birdwatchers, with 436 species having been identified of an estimated total of 475. Among the resident birds are different species of Hornbills, Kingfishers and Sunbirds. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge.

    Day 10-12: Selous Game Reserve

    The Selous will be the last chunk of your trip.Enjoy game driving in the open-sided 4×4 vehicles, go on a walking safari or a boat safari down the Rufiji River – a wonderful contrast to game viewing from a vehicle.

    Your stay will be at Sand Rivers Camp. A very comfortable, stylish safari camp, in a thrilling and remote location, with plenty of space and excellent food and service, stunning location on the banks of the Rufiji River in the vast Selous Game Reserve.

    Day 13: Fly to Dar es Salaam for departure

    Here, you will take a light aircraft flight to Dar es Salaam Airport for your connecting flight back home. Depending on your further plans this itinerary can be adjusted and extended to your specific needs.

    Visitors are advised to take precautionary measures to avoid being bitten by mosquitoes. You may use insect repellent, wear long sleeved shirts and trousers in evenings and utilize mosquito nets. Hospitals provide good medical care in cities and in the remote areas or on safari. Flying Doctors facilities are also available. However, it is also advised to carry medical kits for emergencies.

    According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (www.cdc.gov), the following vaccinations are recommended for Tanzania:

    • Hepatitis A + B – Rabies – Typhoid
    • Boosters for Tetanus, Diphtheria and Measles
    • An International Certificate for vaccination for yellow fever is required to enter Zanzibar.

    Visitors are required to have valid passports and entry visa. Visas can be obtained from Tanzania Embassies, High Commissions and Consulate as well as at major entry points in the country such as Dar es Salaam, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar International Airports, Namanga, Sirari, Horohoro and Taveta.

    The Tanzanian shilling (Tsh.) is divided into 100cents. Notes are in denomination of 200, 500, 1000, and 10,000 shillings. Coins are in order of 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 shillings. Money can be changed in banks, bureaux de change and other accredited points such as hotels. Credit cards (Access, Master Card, Visa, American Express, Euro Card and Diners) are accepted by large hotels around the country. Travellers’ cheques in US dollars and Pound Sterling are recommended, although Euros are also accepted. Banking hours in major towns are from Monday to Friday (08.30 – 16.00 hrs), Saturday from 08.30 hrs – 13.30 hrs. These may vary in smaller towns. ATM and 24 hour cash machines are available in branches of major banks and accept international VISA cards. Please note that banks are closed on Sundays.
